    Hi all,

After some searching through the forums, it seems pretty clear that the Thinkpad 11b/g beats Intel when it comes to performance and range for 802.11b/g (but it does not support wireless N). However, is there any information on how much power they consume vs the Intel cards? Which one would allow better battery life? Any info on this would be appreciated :)

Edit: Btw, any info about Linux drivers?

It's probably not a huge difference either way. The biggest battery drainer on a notebook is the screen. Dimming the screen more if you can will likely yield the best results. I believe both Intel and ThinkPad(Atheros) cards work out of the box in Linux.
