    Hi,
On Lenovo UK website, its says the new X1 Carbon is available in both black and silver, yet when you come to configure any model you don't have any option of choosing a silver model. I'm guessing the silver model isn't available yet? Any idea when it will be released?
    Cheers

Silver model will never be available in the EMEA region. Wanted it myself but had to go with the black version instead.

This is in line with Lenovo´s policies on this in the past as well, the silver models of certain models were never available in Europe. Its more a Asia or America thing I think.

Yes - bit of a shame - especially as they made such a big thing of it as CES in January.

I, as a ThinkPad fan, am actually glad that this color is not available here. Too much Mac-envy on Lenovo side for my taste, and it doesn´t even look good. But to each his/her own.

The option of having a choice doesn't hurt. Personally I would have opted for the Silver colour had it been available.

I was also told that the new X1 Yoga will however be available in Silver.

I know a Thinkpad in silver isn't everyones cup of tea but I would just love one - all of my thinkpads to date have been in boring black so silver would make a refreshing change. Anyway looking at Lenovo's USA website, it says silver available in march. If i was to buy this from USA, could i somehow get a UK keyboard on this ? For some strange reason you cannot customize this on the US website like you can on the UK one...
    Cheers

For many years my company-issued work machine was a MacBook.

The reflection from the deck when working outdoors on a sunny day was very annoying.

Irrespective of individual taste, the silver version does not come with the rubber-ish finish the black one has. It is just plane, boring silver...
Not my cup of tea either.
