Looks great, can't wait until we hear some owner reviews. Thin bezels, smaller footprint, lighter, better battery life, LTE, better ports.. some very nice improvements over Gen 4.
It's still not available for order on Lenovo's site though, I wonder when it'll be released. This 5th Gen should sell well.Last edited: Feb 1, 2017 -

Looks like the thin bezel comes at a price:
Antennas are now located in the main body rather than in the display bezel (see pg. 115 UG). I currently own a Samsung Series 9 with the WLAN antennas sitting in the same location and the reception is rather moderate.
Poor choice by Lenovo. -
FWIW, I've got a reply back from Lenovo in Serbia and been told that X1 Carbon in "standard configurations" will be available for order only on April 1st (in Serbia, probably with a Serbian/Croatian/Slovenian keyboard), yet the model I enquired about (WQHD, infrared camera, potentially even without Windows and with Ubuntu pre-installed) will only come late in May. If we assume the same delay of almost two months from base models to the WQHD ones, I guess bigger markets (US, UK, Germany...) will get those models towards the end of March.
