Hi,
I'm interested in getting an X200 from Amazon, specially as I'm an international shopper and haven't found problems with Amazon in the past. I'm looking into this model (74542GU).
http://www.amazon.com/X200-12-1-Wxg...ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=pc&qid=1246417398&sr=1-1
When looking up this model in tabook.pdf, it doesn't look like it has WWAN capability, but I've read somewhere else on this forum that *all* X200s have this feature.
Now, if this is true, what does it mean? Does it mean that I should only insert a SIM card and get going? Or does this "WWAN Upg" applies only to the antenna being installed on the notebook, thus having to buy a separate WWAN card?
Also, it appears to be eligible for IWS (international warranty service):

Can anyone confirm this to me? I will be bringing it to Argentina.
Thanks for your help!

Every x200 and x200 Tablet (but NOT x200s) has the antennas pre-installed for WWAN. You will need to purchase and install the appropriate WWAN module (Ericsson F3507G for GSM), then place an activated SIM card in the battery bay.
Additionally, that particular model does NOT seem to include interational warranty service (although I imagine you could add it later). If you want an IWS model you should buy one that is labeled with a 'G' in the Workhorse/Global column (e.g. 7458-5EU). -
IWS cannot be added at a later date. It either has it or it don't.

Thanks for all your replies!
This card should work for 3G then, right?

The SIM goes inside that card or somewhere else?
Thanks again,

And yes, the card you pointed out will work just fine. I'm also selling the same card for less, if you're interested. -

No it will not, but going without a warranty is a big risk. If at some point it fails, you'll be looking at a large repair bill. Notebook parts are highly specialized and there's few sources for them, which makes them expensive.
