    Hi all,

I recently bought this older model at a Lenovo outlet and I'm really enjoying it, but I think I may have a problem.

First is that the power adapter cable doesn't fully go in. Everything apparently works and it charges the battery without a problem. Normally I wouldn't care, but I suspect this may have lead to a second problem.

The second problem is that the area above the power plug seems to be swollen.

Anyway, before I call Lenovo for the warranty I was hoping to get some feedback first. I uploaded pictures here, please tell me if your power plug goes in just as much as mine, as pictured.

    Thanks

I believe that's normal, if I remember correctly, the power plug is like that on both my brother's X230 and my dad's X220. What do you mean by "swollen"? Is the plastic itself deformed, or is the piece just bulging out (probably not snapped in properly)?

I never noticed it until now, but the plug on my x220t doesn't quite go in all the way either... as for the gap, it's probably just some plastic part not fitting quite right; have you flipped the keyboard and looked under it?

My X220's port looks a little worse than yours and it's completely normal. It's even sagging a bit now with old age. :D

I am not sure what you are talking about re: "swollen" -- it looks like your battery may not be fully inserted into the bay and locked in place. On the top of your keyboard near the thinkvantage button, that piece of border plastic looks like it may be warped a bit, or just not fully clicked into place. You can see if pushing down on it a bit will make its tab click into place. If not you can try removing and reinserting the keyboard (not fully from the connectors, just to reseat the keyboard itself inside the chassis).
