Google was less than helpful finding the answer. I can say that the 1.8 drive is mechanically identical to the legendary SLC Samsung that was the 1st SSD drive that was "worth it." Find out the bigger drive's tech specs, and you'll find out the specs for your 1.8 inch drive

Incidentally these 2 pages had the best listing of stats for your 1.8 inch Samsung I could find...

i think it is too, but i could not find any reference confirming this.

thank you very much for taking the effort to look around. i very much appreciate this.

yeah, this is all the stat i could find myself. it seems storage drive manufacturer hide this stat (amount of cache) nowadays. hmm...

if memory serves, 64MB is the correct number.

in any case, i've never had that drive stutter or slow down for any reason.   the cache is definitely large enough.

    You're welcome

As I alluded to, the 2nd generation SLC Samsungs were some of the first SSD drives free from stutter and other assorted problems. It was basically Samsung, Mtron, and host of prohibitively expensive other brands vs the world of jmicron.

Oh course I know SSDs were available for years in the corporate world. I'm talking about the dog days of the 2.5 inch drives meant for laptops and well-heeled power users
