Hello. I have purchased X60 recently from a guy in good condition, cleaned out the fan and reseated the GPU and CPU. Looking through forums I could not find what the general idle and max temperatures are supposed to be for the CPU (core duo T2400) or the GPU (GMA945)?
If some one could let me know that would be great so I could set up the TPControl well.
    Thanks.

While I don't quite understand how you've reseated the GPU, here's my two cents anyway:

    a) Install TPFC and run it at stock settings. It shouldn't need any further adjusting unless you're pushing the machine hard at all times.

    b) You have a fairly warm, full-voltage Core Duo CPU in a small shell. Expect the fan to come on often.

    Good luck.

Reapplied thermal paste on both. I was just interested in maximum values so I know what to be normal or what not to be normal, would be nice to know.

I'd say normal for this CPU on idle would be in the 50s C. The machine will shut down when the temp reaches 100C.

Seems like my laptop is doing quiet well after 2hrs of OCCT stress test did not go above 74C.
I assume I can set up the fan control such that the fan does not kick in until 60C and hits full blast at 65C then, should save some battery yet keep the laptop at decent temps under load?

Also is the max GPU temp also 90-100C?

    Thanks

Given that your graphics are the Intel integrated ones, I'm fairly certain that the TPFC will not give you a proper reading. I doubt that you'd manage to overheat that aspect of the machine, though.
