As has been fully discussed here, the Thinkpad X60 is now available with Core 2 Duo processors. Those who, like me, are waiting for Core 2 Duo to reach the X60s, may be interested to hear that a Lenovo phone rep told me today that that will happen "sometime in November." Hope it's true!
He also said that he couldn't discuss the Vista coupons "yet."

Strange, from what I've heard the Low Voltage versions of Core 2 Duo won't be available until january/february. But maybe they are going to skip Low Voltage for the x60s?
Or more likely, they thought you talked about x60, because that isn't officially launched yet is it?
Or maybe I got that january/february wrong... -
you've been able to order a few C2D X60 models for 2 weeks now. Supposedly they ship in 8-10 days.
They're priced the same as the equivalently-equipped CoreDuo model. Which means the C2D are the better buy. Just beware the heat and poorer battery performance of C2D, maybe, depending on whose measurements you believe. -
Firstly:
X60 - Available
X60s - Not Available
Secondly:
I believe he is talking about the Ultra Low Voltage Duo 2 Core. This processor is not yet available in any notebooks yet, and I don't believe it will be until January. (As tjoff stated.)
