There is a latop on sale on eBay, which is supposed to be a X61s (not a X61) and offer 2.2GHz dual core for the CPU. This 2.2Ghz option is not even listed on Lenovo, for X61s.

Is this real? Or a scam?

If it's real, why the option is not available on Lenovo site?

    Thank you in advance.

    It's probably a regular X61. I don't think there's a LV 2.2GHz C2D.

But look at the picture... You can see "X61s".

It has to be the X61 with the T7500 processor. The X61S is the low voltage processor version of the X61, and there is no low voltage version running at 2.2 GHz (1.8 is the max available).

It could be just not offered anymore. On the Lenovo website before you start configuring the X61 you can read "Up to Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 processor (2.20GHz)". A google search of "Thinkpad X61 2.2GHz" also lists varies links which suggest it exists.

    I'm talking about X61 s, not X61.

If drbiff is right, then this laptop is a scam, right?

AFAIK there's no 2.2GHz LV C2D which is what the X61s uses.

If there is any doubt whatsoever on ebay don't buy it. Personally I would look elsewhere.

Mmm my mistake, speed reading comes at a cost.

Yea, there are no X61s with that config, drbiff is correct.

I really think I'll avoid eBay for latops! Or maybe from a power seller it may be ok.

Did some of you ever buy a latop on eBay?

Nope, but there have been some very good deals on Ebay. There have also been some very bad deals that I know of on E-bay as well. So, all in all I think it's a crap shoot. IMO, your just better off in the long run getting your laptop direct from the manufacture.
