I'm fairly experienced with notebook disassembly and maintenance, but this issue is getting me kind of stuck:

I have a 1st gen Thinkpad Yoga (almost 2 years old) and for months I have been struggling to clean out the fan. It has extremely tiny screws with cables running across the top.

The current configuration makes it seem near impossible to remove, let alone OPEN, without doing some risky maneuvers.

I would appreciate any help. Is this even possible, or did they just design this laptop to eventually die in a burst of fire?
