Hey everybody, I have found a Thinkpad z61t for sale for a decent price ($100.00) but the seller mentions that there is a locked symbol when it is turned on.

I have searched google and couldn't find anything about a locked looking logo/symbol on boot.

    Here is the image:

The specs on the laptop are:
    ***IBM Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t 9442***
    intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2GHz 4gb ddr2, 500gb hdd7200rpm

    Any ideas?

    That's a Supervisor/BIOS password prompt.

Stay away from that machine. It's most likely useless, unless you're intent on parting it out.

The prescription is to swap the board. If you're comfortable doing it, I'd lowball them and see what they say.
