I've been using it since the alpha and suffering without my add-ons. Besides this fact though, it's been a fantastic experience for me. Firefox 3 was just faster than FF2 on my Thinkpad in respect to loading and startup. Can't wait for tomorrow!

I just got my new laptop yesterday and decided against downloading Firefox 2 for one day. I can't really wait to get Firefox 3 as using IE is not fun.

rc1,2 and 3 were excellent. I suspect the final release won't be much different from rc3

You're not missing anything.. Any and all "firefox" related websites are down.

BTW, here's the official "Firefox 3 Download Day" site:
    http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/

They (Mozilla peeps) are trying to set a world record for "most downloaded software in 24hrs". You still have time to contribute to that... :D

The Mozilla team wants Firefox 3 to be the most downloaded software with 24 hours of release. Let's help them achieve this world record. Download FF3 if you haven't already.

Same here, but I doubt that's an issue with the browser. Did someone try it with IE?

Just looks like someone messed up the code. Something simple like ^columnspan=3^ instead of ^columnspan=5^

The Lenovo configurator rendered that way from Beta till current. I have submitted numerous reports to Mozilla concerning it yet nothing has changed. The pages render fine in IE.

Download an FF add on to fix this problem and you can make FF use the IE engine to render the web page. It's called IE Tab and you can put it in your navigation toolbar: left click and you can switch the rendering engine of your current tab.

I just upgraded to 3.0 and hit an interesting bug immediately. Opening a menu then moving across the menu bar to other menus, a shadow line for each of the menu boxes remains on the screen--even if you minimize FF! Restarting FF cleared it.

Traced the problem to NVIDIA nView stuff. Turning off taskbar transparency eliminated the problem. I'm on a T61 with a Quadro NVS 140M, BTW.

    FYI,

I was running the release candidate along side the latest version 2.xxx. Before upgrading, I uninstalled both versions instructing the program to save my settings. When I upgraded to FF3 all my settings were there. Go ahead and take the plunge my friend.

It really is an excellent browser. So much better than FF2 for opening multiple threads at a time with no delay.

Bookmarks are fine. Most settings are unchanged. Differences I have found so far: NoSquint font sizes ended up somewhat larger and needed to be adjusted; the sort order of saved form text box entries has changed...looks like it's chronological instead of alpha, but I'm not sure of that yet. Minor annoyances at worst.

No Squint works in FF3 now? awesome!

I've noticed the default FF3 zooming (text only option) doesn't work in gmail if you have FF3 setup to open gmail as a default tab. I have to switch to a different tab, then come back to gmail before it will apply the default +3 zoom.

    Anyone else?

I love the increase in speed and most of all the memory leak fix.

My work desktop has only 512MB and FF2 would grind my system to a halt if I did not shut it down twice a day to get back the ~150MB memory it would hog. Problem is gone with FF3.
