Most of the Thinkpad models come with the "fn" and "ctrl" keys, in that order. Is there a list of Thinkpad models that can be configured to get a keyboard with "Ctrl" as the bottom left key?

For example this is the keyboard for the X1 Carbon, 2nd generation, I think :

Are there more of those? Is there a list somewhere? Is it possible to ask for such keyboard on any Thinkpad models?

I know it's possible to switch the "fn" and "ctrl" keys in the bios, for a lot of models.. But I'm looking for one that has this actual physical layout.

    Thanks in advance!

(I can't change the title now but I mean "bottom left key", of course!)

Thankfully, this is the only model with the wrong layout. All other ThinkPads have the FN key in the bottom left corner, and can not be configured otherwise.

I agree! But this is the only one I found with the CTRL key where I want it. But I think I've seen a model of the "W" serie with the CTRL key there too.

    No more information, anybody?

All ThinkPads except for that one have the FN key in the corner.

You can swap FN and CTRL keys in BIOS and there it is, full functioning left corner CTRL and next to him FN.

I have that keyboard in my X1 Carbon (Gen 2), and I think it's great! All the function keys are in the "adaptive" board at the top. Press the top left Fn, the settings, and displayed icons across the top "row" change. It rotates through 4 different options, depending on what you want to do. One option has the F1-F12 keys.

If you double click the caps key, a red light turns on, and shows you that you're in caps lock. Press again, the light goes out, and the lock is removed. :D

Disclaimer: I don't have use of my right hand, and I only type with my left, so this type of keyboard is a god send for a "one armed bandit" like me! :p

I think if you do not need the F1-F12 keys it could work, but imagine having to step through hundreds of lines of code, to step from one line to the next you have to click F10/F11/F7/F8 .
