I am waiting for the delivery of my X61s when I find out that the " reserve edition" is a beautiful 12.1"! Now I want one! How come it is "BY INVITATION ONLY"!? Stupid marketing strategy! What can I do to get one?!

It appears Lenovo took a page from Sony's Playstation 3 marketing handbook. I just went to the site and the 2 biggest selling points are :

    1) Leather
    2) Unique curves and flanges for a distinctive look and feel.

Sign me up for that

Don't forget that it offers onsite service 4 hours guaranteed in major cities as well as constant maintenance by Lenovo to have the unit run without issues. Something like this may be worth the money for certain business customers/idiots.

The funny thing is they will sell out of these things even at this price...gotta love the whole supply/demand/self made appeal of a product :p

It can't be $5000. Is that a list price?

LoL. You DO realize, that 4 hours guaranteed in major cities really really means 4 weeks guranteed in Lenovo speak.

    =)
