Any fix for the disappearing ThinkPad screen brightness (Fn+Home/Fn+End) function under Win7? After a couple of hibernations, my ThinkPad's screen brightness function and its on-screen display disappears. In fact, the screen brightness function also disappears from Windows7's "mobility center" (Windows key + X) as well.

I've installed whatever updated drivers that System Update suggests, but the problem persists. Anybody find a solution yet? It's getting annoying.

Not sure what System Update suggested, but I fixed this problem by having the latest drivers of the following:

    1. Intel display driver
    2. System interface driver
    3. Hotkey driver

Don't trust System Update - go directly to your Thinkpad's driver download page.

Haven't seen this, but I usually put the system into standby instead of into hibernate. Follow arsenic004's advice and get the updated drivers direct.
