Mine didn't work on my X21 with Firefox 1.5.*, but it worked great with Firefox 2 on both the X and my T60...

Ok, thank you.

I have a problem using the middle button to do HORIZONTAL scroll with trackpoing in Firefox 2. Do others have the same problem or know a fix?
question: for those of you who claim that the middle button for scrolling worked, do you mean
with "standard scrolling" (under UltraNav Wizard)
1. vertical scrolling (this I can confirm myself)
2. horizontal scrolling (this does not work for me)
with "smooth scrolling"
1. both vertical and horizontal 2D scrolling (I can confirm this) -
My horizontal scroll does not work with firefox 2.0
-
my standard vertical works with firefox 2.*. can someone direct me to a site with horizontal scrolling and i'll check that.
-
-

Has anyone found a solution to the horizontal scrolling in Firefox? I have the latest TrackPoint driver and the latest version of Firefox (2.0.0.6).
-

-

It is quite annoying. I would rather not have to go back to using Internet Explorer because of this. I even tried editing the Firefox config file, using a guide from a Linux forum, to no avail.
Where are all you ThinkPad gurus when needed? -

There must be someone who can enlighten the rest of us. I know it would be much appreciated.

Hate to be annoying, but I would love if someone could solve this issue. Last and final attempt to get the attention of the TrackPoint guru.

you could try to modify the TP4Table.dat and TP4scrol.dat in C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP with the following lines to make the Touchpad compatible with Firefox 2.
*,*,firefox.exe,*,*,*,WheelStd,0,9
I found this on another forum. It was supposed to be used to allow scrolling in Office 2007 before the new update.
The new UltraNav update is here by the way.
