Hi all, been awhile since I've been here. Yesterday I took the plunge on a TP Twist....and so far am regretting it.

First time using Windows 8 and its a pain right now....all the Lenovo extras are getting in the way as well. Major annoyances right now are the max brightness dropping 20-30% shortly after booting up and the Hawking esque narrator that keeps randomly activating and is very difficult to turn off.. I deleted a bunch of Lenovo apps though they still exist on metro, ....figured I'd do the recovery and experiment further and recovery doesnt work...I have the option but hitting F11 in the bios does NOTHING...

Then I figured might as well do a clean install.....and now it seems thats not as straaightforward as it used to be....where do I find my product key? Will it work with a DL windows . I've done a bunch of searching but only finding partial answers.

In short right now I spose my best bet is a clean install of win 8, I dont have any media, just the twistbook.

Thanks, got it figured out for the most part. Was on the verge of returning it a couple days in....but once I figured some things out I'm really likeing it for the most part.

Still torn over the notion of getting a 128GB MSATA for the OS and keeping the 500GB mechanical drive for storage...truth be told after all the tweaking the 24GB cache drive is pretty darn effective......Right now I'm kinda thinking if it aint broke....
