My T61's specs are listed in my sig. I have the latest nVidia 180.84 drivers.

Any idea why my computer absolutely refuses to wake from sleep? All I get is a black screen when I press the power button to turn it back on after it goes to sleep.

Sorry, I don't know the exact answer here.

From past experience with other brands, I've had this happen to me 3 times and every time it has been a video driver issue. If nobody else here comes up with more concrete suggestions for you, maybe reinstall the video driver or even try an older version.

Update to the latest Intel Turbo Memory driver and Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver from Intel's website.
