Currently I have an x31 in my possession and I'm pretty much test driving it to get an idea of how the other models in the thinkpad line fare. I'm loving the keyboard, it's pretty much how everyone said it would be. The little nubbin I can get used to. It's the lcd screen cover that I'm a little worried about. When I put a little pressure on the screen cover there is some distortion on the lcd screen. I was wondering if this is just an isolated incident. As far as the rest of the unit, it seems solid. No creaks or other weird sounds eminating from the chassis. Can anyone vouch for the lcd screen cover? I wish there was a titanium cover for the x60. That would just be too sexy. Thanks all!

All of the x series I have seen seemed solid although I did not do the screen test on them. My T42 has zero flex.
