This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Thinkvantage - Using it to Password-Protect a Folder?

    Does anyone know how to use the Thinkvantage software (prolly Client Security Solution) to password-protect a folder? :confused:

    You can create a SafeGuard PrivateDisk in the Client Security Solution under Data Protection. That'll create a virtual drive running from an encrypted file.

    Thanks for the reply.

    However, when I open the ThinkVantage Productivity Center -> ThinkVantage Technologies -> Client Security Solution, there is no "Data Protection" option.

    There are only 5 tabs at left, beginning with "Enhanced Security", then "Password Recovery", "Password Manager", "Security Advisor", and finally "Fingerprint".
