I had a new T61 and so far I haven't removed any of the Thinkvantage software... want to give it a chance first.

Anyway, I like the idea of Access Connections pretty well, think it could come in handy as I do roam around and connect to various networks from time to time.

Question though: whenever the machine goes into sleep mode, it seems to disable whatever "location" I had activated. Since this is what enables my wireless connection, if I'm wireless then going to sleep will kick me off. Upon resume, I need to go to AC and reconnect to my location profile.

If I'm on battery, this can happen pretty often as the machine goes to sleep by itself (which I like).

Is there any way to set it so that it'll reconnect to whatever profile it was using when it went to sleep? I've tried but can't find a setting for that. The only one I find is one for a default location to use when resuming from sleep. But I don't want to use a default one all the time, I want to use the one it was using before it went to sleep!

    Can anyone help out here?

Access Connection is awesome in my opinion. with my setting, when the t61 goes to sleep mode, it disables the internet connection. When you wake it up, it automatically reconnects you to the internet host where it was last connected to (reconnection process is lightning-fast). ThinkVantage functions are quite useful.

Good to know your opinion, but HOW did you set it to reconnect when it returns from sleep mode?

Do you have multiple location profiles, or only one?
