I set up thinkvantage CSS now I decided I no longer wish to use it I actually would like to uninstall it. Question is if I uninstall it will that affect how I log on currently I use thinkvantage to enter my password before I log into windows. I dont want to uninstall it then screw myself over and not be able to get into my system.

One more thing I notice all that thinkvantage software starts up when winodws boots up and I tend to have around 75 processes running b/c of it (75 total) that is. Should I use msconfig to disable some at start up or is there another way....I heard msconfig is kind of an outdated way of doing things.

Since you are using XP Home you won't have to log in at all. I personally use RegCleaner to disable boot items.

Im not quite sure what you mean....I already have set up CSS and must enter my password to log on to my machine. If I uninstall CSS will that negativley effect my boot up and log on?

I think all you need to do is just make sure before you remove ThinkVantage be sure to delete or disable the option to have it auto-logon for you.

By default XP Home takes you directly to the desktop without requiring you to logon.
