Hi,
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate.
Some days ago, I could use System Update to update my system but now it does not work anymore.
The result is always:
I also try to run the System Update as administrator and disable the UAC.
But it does not work.
Is there anyone that has experienced this problem?
Thank you,

I'm having the same issue with one update
-
I try with Windows XP Pro, the same problem occurred.

I do not know if this can help but there is a new version of System Update. I tried to do a SU yesterday and it first updates itself. Try to find this update and install it yourself, maybe it will fix this problems you have.

Windows Vista Update Module KB929637 32bit.
I tried to install it manually from C:\Program Files\Lenovo\System Update\session\osv012us_32\929637-x86.msu. And still not working. Any ideas? -
I am installing new version. hope that it will work :-w
-
I'll just wait since the update is Optional

No improvement
The new version of System update still does not work.
Perhaps, I need to contact Lenovo -
Just installed 3 updates to my Lenovo T61P. Bios and one other went fine. But the vista KB 92963 32 bit did not install. Tried too do it 2 times.
What do you think went wrong? OR is the KB 929637 for Vista important?
Thanks for any help -
I downloaded the update and tried manually -- it does not apply to my system. I finally hid it in System Update so it would stop showing up.

More interestingly, after the system update there seems to be a resolution conflict with my 19" external monitor which simply shows a blank screen now.
Even Fn + F7 to edit / select other options proved useless.
This is the first time I encountered this from system update and it is certainly not going to be the last. (In future updates that includes the graphics card, this may jolly well occur again.)
Come this Monday, I will discuss this problem with the technical staff of IBM to learn to solve this problem. I will benefit from this problem issue. -
Problem solved today (Monday) as I intended. No more resolution conflict with my 19" external monitor; now fully operational.
I spent a good 3 hrs over the phone with IBM technical support to try various approaches to solve the blank screen on my 19" monitor. It is resolved now giving me the added confidence to deal with similar instance in future should another ThinkPad System Update ever mess up with my external monitor again.
Over and above, I also got to learn about synchronising internal / external monitor; setting 2nd extended screen; and setting full external projection.
I chose to deal with my problem positively by seeking solution rather than complaining endlessly, and ended up learning more than I asked for.
It is indeed a fruitful learning opportunity for me. -
The same thing happened to me yesterday. I did a system update on my T61p and my 24" Dell 2407 external monitor went blank when I connect via the Advanced Dock. I had no problems connecting with the VGA cable before and now I do not see anything on the external monitor. Any information you can give me as a fix for the problem would be very much appreciated. What did you find out as a fix for it after talking with IBM support? Thanks in advance.

I am getting the same problem with the vista module update 32bit. Even with a deferred installation...it doesnt work. And on top of that....it doesnt install with a update for a usb fix after sleeping mode update....
Does any1 know how to fix this? How does one go into admin mode? i think i did standard under my user name. (1 owner...me) -
this is how i solved this problem on my R60 running Windows XP SP2:
1. download from the lenovo site the latest version 3.10 of the TVSU program. (do this even if you are already running 3.10 but are experiencing update installation problems.)
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-66956
2. uninstall the ThinkVantage System Update program. if you are asked if you want to delete the other files found, you may or may not. (these are the updates that you downloaded but did not install.)
3. install the TVSU program that you downloaded.
4. try the updates & install again.
