Ok so I finally ordered my T-400 with the following specs.

    Bluetooth Integrated Bluetooth PAN
    Fingerprint Integrated fingerprint reader
Display type 14.1 WXGA TFT w/LED BL
    Camera with Camera
System graphics AMD M82XT Hybrid 256MB
    Processor Intel Core2 Duo T9600
    Total memory 4 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 (2 DIMM)
    Pointing device UltraNav
Hard drive 160GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm

Well, the 9 cell adds some considerable weight, so just keep that in mind.
Also depends on how many books you'll be carrying as well :D

I don't think it would be hard but a T400s or an X series machine would be a lot lighter.

It's really light and compact. Reading all these posts here day in and day out, one would think that notebooks in the 14/15 inch category are heavy bricks. There are *far* heavier things people carry!

As for shipping, I noticed that you ordered the 160GB HD, for which there should be no real delay. I ordered one in August with the 320 GB for which there was supposed to be a more than 4 week delay, but it shipped in a week.

Ya they said my order has shipped but for some reason I cant track my order, my order number is more than 6 digits when it can only be 6 lol.

They also said they will ship by ground, I dont get how thats possible from china to Vancouver.

One more question, how much more power/battery does the T series processor use?

ya I was thinking that I could somehow limit howmuch power the processor uses but dont know how to do that. Would using a bluetooth mouse decrease the battery life significantly compared to a wireless USB mouse?
