Well, I'm almost tempted to hold out for this bad boy's release to get my new laptop, if the video card turns out to be good enough for gaming.

Was doing some browsing on the internet to see what I could find out, of course there are no 570M benchmarks yet, seeing that this is the first laptop to have the card. But, by looking at the little info available you can tell that the card is definately a 8600 dervivitive seeing that they have exactly the same memory bandwidth (22.4 gb/sec), a number unique to the 8600 series.

Unfortunatly both the 8600 GS and GT both have this exact same bandwidth so we don't know if we'll be getting a GS or GT :(

Just thought I'd post to see if anyone knows more than me, cause if it turns out to be equivilent to the 8600m GT I'll definitely wait for this thing to come out instead of getting a g1s.

I'm also interested in this. I'm stuck deciding on the new led MBP or upcoming T61p. As far as graphics and gaming, the MBP has a 8600m, I'm hoping the t61p has something comparable. I would definitely choose it over Apple.

The Nvidia Quadro 570M is based off of the Nvidia 8600M GT WITH GDDR3 video memory. Thus, it out performs most 8600M GT cards. The 570M is actually the higher end model than the 8600M GT with better 3D rendering capabilities and advanced opengl 2.1.
