    Hi,

I am looking to buy a Y560 in the very near future (aka days).

I have read a lot of reviews on the net and a lot of issues are raised :

    - Big pointer problem
    - Heat problem
    - Dancing pixels
    - Gradiant problem
    - Blue screen a lot
    - Sleep problem
    - Unsuspected shut downs
    - After sale service really bad

Some people say that flashing the bios and updating to AMD latest drivers will fix the problems while other said it did nothing or made it worst.

Is it REALLY a good buy?

    Thanks

I have owned a Lenovo Y560 since December. In that time I have only had it in my house for approximately 6 weeks because it has spent the rest of it's "life" being "repaired". It's been back three times and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!!! Supposedly they've changed out just about every part except the case. What a horrible experience, waste of time and MONEY!!! Each time I call support I'm first of all told that there's nothing wrong with the machine (and that's on the phone when the laptop is sitting in front of ME, not the repair gurus.) Each time I send it back, it sits there for weeks and lots of phone calls before they finally start supposedly repairing it but inevitably, they don't have the part and have to wait for it to arrive. That makes no sense to me. If the parts aren't there at the repair depot, where are they? If as I'm told there's nothing wrong with the laptop what are they repairing???? I've had it. And I've learned NEVER to buy another Lenovo product!!!

I have y560 since october last yr, and im satisfied. Ok there is gradient problem, and there was keyboard issue, but it looks like it has been fixed on its own :D. Temp is going to the 72degrees (celsious) max after couple of hours of gaming. Performance is great for i3, only game that i can not play properly is Brink.

I didnt regret because i bought this, and im looking to take y570 when it come to Serbia.

I've had the Y560 in my sig since October as well. Bought straight from Lenovo, if that matters.

HAndled BFBC2 fairly well, it is a bit hotter than some lappies, but that's due to the CPU in mine. If I could do it all over again I may have gone a different route, but at the time, there wasn't a single offering that could compete bang-for-buck at this price point.

I'm satisfied, and have escaped most of the issues that have been cited.

If you're worried about those problems, you can always look at the Y570. There aren't many reports yet, but so far it looks good.
