Even after a fresh install of Ubuntu, whenever I toggle the wireless switch at the front, the Bluetooth light comes on, not the wireless one. This also happened in my XP and Arch, so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? It's probably bios related, since it affects multiple OSes

EDIT: Great. Now when I toggle it, even the bluetooth switch doesn't come on. I'm very afraid that this is a hardware or *gasp* bios problem.

Aside from the lights, do the Wifi and bluetooth work for you? I have a T61p and my wifi and bluetooth work perfectly in Debian, including the blinking of the wifi and bluetooth light when data is transmitted and received. I am running the 2.6.26 kernel and it solved a lot of the wifi/bluetooth light issues. The Wifi hardware switch controls BOTH the wifi and bluetooth. That is there is no independent control of the 2 through the hardware switch. If the switch is in the on position, then both are on and vice versa.

Well, the thing is, I've experienced problems with XP as well. when I toggle it in xp, only my bluetooth will come up.

Oddly, when I switch it, I can detect wireless networks, but the light(s) remain dark. This is in Ubuntu.
