This is the first time that I'm having laptop, so I'm not sure what is the most efficient way to synchronize folders b/w my lapto and desktop.

I've found that Vista's built-in 'offline files' which allows network drives are accessible in offline and keep sync on connect. However, I'm wonering for this feature:

Assume that X:\ is network mapped drive to my desktop's folder (which is D:\).

    1) When offline files are on, where do these files copied on my laptop? Because I usually have to sync quite a big data (at least 2~3GB), I want to control copied location.

    2) Actually, I want to keep my desktop's D:\ and laptop's D:\ in sync. But, since desktop's D:\ is mapped to X:\, I have to access through X:\. Is there any way to sync remote D:\ to local D:\, not network mapped drive letter?

I'd like to hear your opinions on sync programs.

    Thanks,
    MJ
