Yesterday morning while i was "studying" in the library, I noticed how my HP 6510b does not have a webcam and no graphics for games and whatnot so I realized... Hey I'm gonna upgrade my lappy.

I am a sucker for business laptops. It just gives an appearance and motivation that the purpose is to work. Nothing with a bright apple or creme swirl design on the lids. That's boogers.

I checked out the Lenovo site. Realizing my budget is $650 bucks.
Came across the outlet site and ordered a refurbished T400 for $652. :D

    Processor Intel® Core™2 Duo T9600 (2.80 GHz, 6MB L2, 1066 MHz FSB)
Operating System Genuine Windows Vista Business 32
    Outlet Part Number 276R8YE449
    Condition Refurbished
    Display 14.1” WXGA (1280 X 800), W/ Camera
    Total Memory 3GB (1GB & 2GB) PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory
Hard Drive 250GB, 5400RPM Serial ATA 2.5" Drive
Graphics AMD M82XT Switchable Graphics 256MB
Optical Device DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer Ultrabay Slim
Wireless Intel WiFi Link 5300 (3x3 AGN)
Mobile Broadband Integrated Wireless Wide Area Network upgradable
Battery 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery (6.5 Hour Run Time)
    Limited Warranty 1 Year Standard
    Color Black
    Bluetooth Yes
    Integrated Camera Yes
    Fingerprint Reader Yes
Keyboard/Pointing Device UltraNav (TrackPoint and TouchPad)
    Manufacturing part number 2764CTRR8YE449\

    Stoked about:
Over clocking ATI 3470 (AMD M82XT)
Comfort keyboard with hopefully no flex
    Webcam on a laptop. Finally.

That's a very nice lappy, but I'd look for one with the higher resolution display option with LED backlighting, and THEN you have one sexy laptop!

If only it comes with 1440x900p but otherwise, it rocks! :notworthy:

I don't think Outlets even have 1440x900 LED Backlit in stock.
Unless you're gonna get the one I cancelled ;-)

Why not? If it's a return and I would assumes there's been some WXGA+ LED machines returned, they end up in the outlet.

AH you seem to got me.

    Question though.

Is it possibly to replace the WXGA (1280 X 800) with an LED version?

    Thanks.

It will be quite labor intensive, void your warranty, and cost much more than is worth it. I wouldn't recommend doing so.
