    Hi to all,

yesterday, i pressed myself to start using the one feature that i systematically ignored on my ThinkPad: the trackpoint...
I starting to get used to it and i thing i do not need the mouse anymore :)

I know that some will laugh with the question but anyway, here it goes:
I if press and hold the right button of trackpoint, i can draw a red line with the stick...What is the purpose of this ??

    LOL I didn't know I could do this...wicked :p

But yeah...what's the point? Is it for emphasizing something on the screen while giving a presentation maybe?

    Welcome to the club :)
I thought so for the presentation too but you cannot make, let's say, a circle and leave it there for someone to see for some time. When you release the right button the shape is gone...

This sounds like a mildly cool trick. How're you guys doing this? Do I need to configure the trackpoint in any special way?

    Ahhh...I figured it out.

This is not a driver feature - it is a new feature in IE7Pro, which is an add-on for IE7. The red line is from the "mouse gestures" feature. If you want to configure it, go to preferences->mouse gestures.
