    Hi Everyone,
My TrackPoint (the red nub) suddenly doesn't work. I've reinstalled the UltraNav drivers but when you go to the Trackpoint section, it's completely grayed out. I don't see it visible under Device Manager either.

Not sure what happened, it just stopped working a day or two ago. Is there anything I can try?

    Using Vista 32 Bit on a T61P.

Check under device manager, make sure you have ThinkPad UltraNav Pointing Device under Mice. Right click and try 'scan for hardware changes'.

You may want to delete it and let the OS redetect and reinstall drivers.

Not sure if there is a BIOS setting for this feature, but that might be worth checking too. Otherwise, it sounds like the hardware has gone bad or a wire came loose.

What's odd is that it does appear under device manager. Scanning for changes doesn't result in anything, and neither does deleting and reinstalling the drivers

    Maybe check the connector.
