I have been experimenting with various versions of the Synaptics drivers in an attempt to use the trackpad on my T430 in Win 8 more effectively (FWIW, win 7 was pre-installed and I did a clean install of win 8)

I found the general Synaptics drivers work better/have more functionality, but not all, and I have been trying different versions. The current version on their website (I think its 16.3.8.8) doesn't even install, it fails.

Right now, the only feature I can get to work is the wipe from right for the Win 8 charms, swipe from left and top don't work no matter what version I've tried. Currently have version 16.2.21 from Synaptics. Pinch to zoom appears to work in their 'practice environment', have yet to try it out on a photo.

Has anyone else been successful with this?
