    Hello,

I have just bought a thinkpad edge 15. It's a very nice and stable laptop so far.

However, I cannot seem to have access to both the middle click and the scroll function on the middle ultranav button.

I've been using an autohotkey script ( from an OLD thread) for that. But it doesn't always work as it should have.

Is there a new way to do that?
Or have been the drivers updated to allow me to do that function?

Any clarification will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

There is an ultranav driver you can download IIRC. Look for it in the Lenovo drivers section for your model here:

Lenovo Support - Download Drivers and Software (US)

If you have been tinkering around with Windows to get a faster boot time by disabling/removing some programs, you might have turned off the Ultranav one by accident.

I probably won't be helping you here, but on my X220, I can go into the "hidden icons" and click on the Touchpad icon, and then click on "Trackpoint setting" and "Scrolling". If I choose "Smooth", then I get the middle click function and the scroll function. If I choose "Standard", then no middle click or scroll function (well, you then can scroll by holding down the middle button and moving the trackpoint at the same time).

I personally don't like the smooth scrolling, and prefer standard scrolling. I wish though that the middle click worked when set on standard scrolling.

    Cheers,

    Wayne

    Thank you for your replies.

Unfortunately, with smooth scrolling , I can't seem to have the scroll function to work anywhere.

For example, I used to scroll across my contact list on live messenger, but I can't using the middle button with the setting set on smooth scrolling.
But firefox recognises it as a middle click.

    Is it a normal behavior?
Or should I remove and re-install the latest driver ( which is already installed on my computer ) ?
