I click Fn+F8 > Manage Settings > Pointer Options > Pointer Speed and maxed the sensitivity. Every time I restart my computer, it goes back to the default which is in the middle. I didn't change any settings and installed anything new. What could be the problem?

I found this issue to be a conflict with my external mouse software. I was using Logitech MX Revolution. On restart, the Logitech software would reset the Windows settings. I have since disabled that software and everything is fine.

I also have the Setpoint for my Logitech VX nano. I'll give it a try and see how it goes. Thanks Dugg

Problem solved. Turned out a part of it was still on startup even after being disabled :s

I have the exact same in my T61 for months now. It only happens occasionally after coming back from standby (but those are the only times). A few months ago I have searched extensively for a solution but never found one. So I change the track point settings every time it happens, which is a real annoyance.

Please let us know exactly what u did to solve this issue...

I downloaded a trial version of TuneUp Utilities 2009 which has something called the 'StartUp Manager'. It shows a list of programs that are on my startup. I disabled all of the 'Setpoint' startups from Logitech. I used this same program to remove a bunch of startup bloat from Lenovo. I heard you can do the same with a free and light program called "Winpatrol". Give that a try and tell me how it goes! :)
