    And I couldn't be happier!

I was a bit worried after reading on here about them as everyone seemed to be crapping on them, but I am really liking mine!

It has, Intel P8600 with 4gb of ram, GPS, Bluray burner, 3G modem, OCZ Vertex 120gb SSD drive and I just ordered the 9 cell battery!

What more could I ask for from a 13.3" laptop? Just wanted to throw a little positive spin on the SL300 in case anyone else was considering one....

Yea, I was seriously considering purchasing an SL300 before I got my X301 when I was looking for a 13".

I don't think they're nearly as bad as some people on here describe them to be. It's just that many people are used to the durability of the "Thinkpad" name and were slightly angered when Lenovo slapped it on the SL-series. :p

They're perfectly fine computers, if you know what to expect. :D

11Yes i think people have been giving them alot of flak i think mainly because they don't feature the roll cage that is present in all other ThinkPads, but the thing is, that is the main reason the SL series is cheaper.. refined and cast, magnesium isn't cheap.

Another unexpected bonus is that it has warranty until 2013.

It comes up as "Satus: in Warrenty" but the discription at the bottom says something like "This machine is registered as a Lenovo internal asset"????

Weird, but I will take it!!!

Could have been an internal demo model. Hopefully it wasn't stolen...

I have received confirmation from the person I got it from that it was bought legit and was most likely a demo...
