I would like to know some step by step instructions on how to connect my laptop that is running vista, with my computer that is also running vista. I have them both wireless. I would like to do this so i can quickly send my music and videos etc from my desktop to my new t400, because at the moment im using my ipod as an external drive, which is taking forever to send stuff across.

    Thanks :)

I'm no pro here...but I assume you're on a wireless network right? If you make your folders shared on the network (by going into its properties) you should be able to access it in "My Network Places"

Foldershare is one way to share/sync between multiple computers (if you don't want to futz with sharing the drives and mapping.

    its pretty easy,
on the host computer just right click on the folder you want to share
    properties>sharing tab> advanced sharing> check "share this folder">ok/apply/close

on the other computer go to
start>computer>you should see network in favourites> click on the computer

if this doesnt work then(host pc)
rightclick my computer>properties>advanced system setting>memorize the "Full computer name"

on other pc do winkey+r and type \\ insertpcname

hope this helps, reply if you have any questions
