    Hello..

I would like to take off the 'ThinkVantage' big red sticker on the bottom left hand side of the notebook lid, but I'm afraid there will be sticky residue underneath? Is it safe to do?

Sorry for such a trivial question and thanks in advance! :)

I would guess there would be sticky residue since I think that sticker is not meant to be removed.

I doubt it would damage anything and I'm sure you could clean it up with something.

You can remove it off safely. I did. Just go slow and pull vertically, not in the direction it is removed (make a 90 degrees angle). If there is any residue, just follow Lenovo advices regarding cleaning up the laptop external parts. No worries. From the texture of the adhesive, it’s clearly made to be removed safely. It’s not sticky.

Are you talking about the sticker at the bottom right thats like a big wedge shape? If so, I removed it.

It doesn't leave anything once removed. I don't even remember having it.

i removed all stickers from my laptop other than the thinkpad emblems. goo gone gel works wonders to remove all leftover residue without any discoloration. can get it at most stores for $5 or so. (in the states)
