    I got a t61 with 4gb ram and a 80 GB slow hard drive ( I know....sigh)
I was wondering what is this the best hard drive out there besides SSD. I am considering a hitachi 7k 200gb hard drive. Also will a 7k hard drive Drain up my Battery life? I only got a 4 Cell.

I am considering getting a 6 or 7 cell battery and was wondering how much more battery life i would get. I got a 4 cell and the first day i used it in class it only lasted me 30-40 mins no joke.

I am also considering getting the 3 cell expansion bay battery. but i can't find any info about how well and long they run.

    thanks in advance.

I think you'll be better off with two 7 cell batteries.

Go for the 7k200 drive, very good on power considering its speed. I have just upgraded to one and my battery life has extended over my old drive.

Also are you using the extended power saving settings when on battery? this will help you get maximum value when running on your battery.
