Just got my T500 with turbo memory the other day and noticed that the user pinning dashboard wasn't installed. The turbo memory console was there but nothing else. Anyways, I found out that in order to get the dashboard you have to install the latest intel turbo memory driver and run it from a command window with a -UP extension. The driver from the intel website can be found here: http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/itm/#anchor2
to install open a command window by typing cmd in the start menu, locating the driver install file and running it by adding the -UP extension. So the whole thing looks like "invm_enu.exe -UP" (the space is important, quotes not)

Awsome, I was wondering about that too. We have some t400's and t500's and I couldn't figure out why the Pinning wasn't showing up.
Thanks for the heads up. -
wait you can enable user pinning on the 2gb model of turbo memory? I thought only the 4gb models had this feature
edit: awesome, it works. thanks! this should be added to the clean install guide -
Cool, cool, cool! This was the one thing that made me a little irritated about the turbo memory when I got it. I hadn't read anywhere that user-pinning wasn't available on the 2gb version. This makes all the difference since I don't really trust Windows to decide what should be the most available to me the quickest.
THIS worked! Thanks so much for posting it! -
Actualy I was just about to ask this question. So I just got my T500 too. How do i know if I have turbo memory? because im trying to clean install atm

Please allow me to ask what may be a stupid question. What is "user pinning"? I ask because I have ordered a T500 with Turbo Memory and want to know if I am missing something important.
Thanks.
