How do you know whether or not you have turbo memory installed?

I did a fresh install of the OS and I have to know whether or not to install the drivers.

BTW, I have an X61T, so maybe this model doesn't even support this feature?

To me easiest thing to do besides knowing if you ordered it when you bought it or not, would be to find the Type and Model number which usually can be found in the system information category, the type number is a 4 digit number, all numbers. The Model number is usually 3 digits/alphabetical characters. Go to the Lenovo site and to the drivers page and enter it into the text box below where it should say "Quick path". It should show your system with the specs you configured it with when you ordered it, if it says Intel Turbo Memory then obviously you have it. Hope this does the trick.

I think the OP knows he has it, he is saying he did a clean install and doesn't know if it install properly or if it is working.

To the OP sorry I don't have an answer, never used it, just wanted to make sure your question gets answered properly.

    Look in the Device Manager.

Under Disk Drives you should see a second drive named "IMD-0"
Also under Storage Controllers you should have the Intel Turbo Memory Controller installed.

Under Start > Programs you should also see Intel Turbo Memory Console listed.

This is how I can tell it is installed on my T500.

I don't know I have it, but here's my layout. It doesn't mention turbo memory, so I assume I don't have it?

Also, I just did a fresh install and I tried to install the 3rd driver (Matrix Storage Manager Driver) on this guide.

and my system says I already had the driver. What's going on?

You may have missed my previous post. We were both posting at the same time.

Then you most likely do not have it period unless they made a typo which could be possible but not likely, although it did list a 15" T61p i bought off of eBay as having the 128MB FX 570M...which is not possible.
