Hi~ I have a t60p, without the mobile broadband card, and I am curious if there is any way that I could get one of the turbomemory cards, perhaps from the t61 to work in my machine? and, if so, where would I acquire one?

Not worth the trouble in my opinion.

Well, the reading I have been doing suggests that the mini-pcie slot on thinkpads is locked down as to what it can accept, conflicting information points towards a bios 'white list', or merely reading a 'made by lenovo' digital signature in the bios of the add-in card. In either event, failure to authenticate will result in a 1802 error on bootup in bios, and there are no known workarounds for newer thinkpads. (this apparently has something to do with FCC certification of the WWLAN and WWAN modules)

Thus, I was looking for anyone who has tried putting a t61 turbomemory module into an older machine, to see if it would be accepted... Though for 30$ I might just try the amazon modules...
