Two more z61t are listed on the Lenovo website now. The models are 944037U & 944038U. Both has WXGA+ screen ( 1440 x 900). Almost the same spec for both other than the processor, one is Core Duo 1.83 and the other is 2 GHz.
Doesn't come with OS installsed & Hard Drive installed per the customization page. Pricing is still weird since it's showing up as $1,000 and $1,100 for those two laptops but when you try to customize it the price jumps about $300 more.
And there is no option to add OS, HD & Wireless yet. Shows error after clicking ADD TO CART. It might take a while to get things settled I guess.

... holy god this is cheap. i just add to my cart and it shows up to be 1000 exact.

and yes, once u click customize, the price went up by 300 dollar. weird. -
Actually when you click customize, it does have RAM (256 MB) and an optical device (CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo). Probably that's where the difference comes from. Anyway, RAM prices are well astray... 2GB is $1945?!?!
And, resolution for the "weird" models (the Z61t's, 14.1") is 1280x768, not 1440x900.
I got one in the cart allright.. checkout seems to work.. wonder if I should go ahead and purchase it?Will they invoice me for the difference later, when the price comes out right? Well, let's try..
Edit - if you choose customize, you cannot proceed any further since it says that OS and HDD are mandatory fields. And since there are no options for these... -
l can't get to the customize page for the z61t, why? The first two links in the 1st post lead me nowhere and l can't find the z61t for sale on the site anywhere.
-
it looks like they pulled them this morning.
I'm assuming they will be back up on tuesday when they were actually slated for release -
l heard that Lenovo takes a while to build and ship most notebooks; if l ordered this next week would it be in BEFORE the end of June? l know no one here knows for sure, but i'd like to hear about your previous experience.
