Okay, driver-by-driver:
Does the ThinkVantage Active Protection System hold any value whatsoever when an SSD is being used? Much of what I have found indicates it does not, but this post suggests the software automatically disables head parking when an SSD is installed; so is the software just disabling itself in its entirety, or actually disabling this subset of all features, the others of which (should they exist) may be useful?
What machines can make use of the Wireless USB software? I searched in vain for any mention of this in the purchasing process, but only found literature asterisking it along with WiMAX as available at some future date (even though WiMAX is already configurable for upgrade). Even after the fact, I could not find confirmation of any model ThinkPad with the underlying hardware, which doesn't explain why Lenovo would have a driver for it, unless being meant for future or foreign models? I have not done much reading on what products I can potentially use it with, and I doubt I would make use of the capability anytime soon, but I am nonetheless still curious.

Active Protection System (APS) - If you are using an SSD, then the APS is not required for protecting the drive. The driver knows this, and will NOT attempt to park the heads on an SSD (view real time status and shake your laptop to see the driver acting: it turns yellow and displays a pause logo on an HDD, but remains green on an SSD). I believe this is done by querying the drive, and disabling APS if the rated RPM is 0 (SSDs don't rotate).
However, the driver can be used for any other applications that make use of the accelerometer (e.g. automatic screen rotate on the tablets, or APS games). I recommend that you install the driver anyway as there is no downside (aside from a very small memory footprint) of having it installed.
W-USB (AKA Ultra Wide Band [UWB]) - I have seen UWB hardware available from certain resale channels (e.g. education). You can add it yourself by procuring the appropriate card (it goes in the same slot as Turbo Memory). Personally, I wouldn't bother as Wireless USB seems to be totally dead ( source). This is probably why Lenovo is not pushing it on their main site.
Two probably easy questions regarding Active Protective System and Wireless USB drivers
