    Are these reliable?
    Anyone have these?
All I saw on the U400 reviews were not very good.

How fast is the base model? Can it run CAD?

    I hear they are solid.

I used to play LOTS of DoD Source yes and under the name AnimalMother.
2001 early 2008 worth of DoDs.

I just need a simple portable I am not familiar with the i5 processor by any means.

is the U310 i5 faster then the intel core 2 q6660? That's what I have on my desktop.
gtx 285 vs gtx 660m? Seems like the other laptop(y580) i ordered more powerful then my desktop?
My desktop only has 4GB ram...its from 2009...

    what you think?

Hey! Too funny. You played under a BDS tag, as did I: Apoxy. Small world.

I'd say the newer stuff is always better, but keep in mind that the 660 is the 660"m" series, meaning its going to be about half as powerful as the its non-laptop counterpart. So if your gtx 280 is a desktop card, it might closely match the 660m. It could possibly be even faster. Check the core count and mhz rates and compare. I'd go with the y580.
