Didn't see any owner threads on this yet so maybe it's still too new.

Anyway we got a couple of these in house (first ideapads). They seem like decent units for the money except for one potential deal killer with the fan.

On the two units we have, it seems to run all the time with a fairly audible whine. It's not hair dryer loud like I have seen before on other units under load. This is more of a constant whistle/whine that is audible to the point of annoying in a quiet office.

Is this normal for this model or did we just get two bad ones? Or is there some setting somewhere that I can change? I have tied all the different power settings in Windows 7

    Any suggestions welcome...
