I was wondering if anyone has had a better experience as far as battery life with Windows XP on the U330 (as the power management software has been released for XP).

Vista will be probably offer better battery life as it has a much better power management subsystem.

Can't use the switchable graphics in XP.

Plus Vista, is safer, more stable, and easier to use. Plus a lot of the 'memory hogging' is just use of virtual memory.

No point trying to use XP on the U330.
