New poster here--
Just put in an order this week for an IdeaPad U330. Was actually trying to decide between the Dell XPS M1330 and HP dv4t, when someone mentioned the Lenovo on the Dell forum. Looked into it some more and ended up getting the "higher end" version with a 15% discount coupon.
All notebooks have their compromises, but the U330 seemed to have the largest sweet spot combo of performance, portability and looks for a great price. It helped that Lenovo notebooks are consistently praised for quality and durability. Should be shipping in three weeks. Hope I made the right decision.
For those interested, I'll be happy to post impressions when I get it...

U330 certainly looks like a winner considering the price and specs.
The only thing it's got going against it are the postponed deilvery dates and the fact that we can't get it in Europe. -
A Lenovo CSR emailed me to notify that she will be ensuring my U330 ships before October. If your ship date comes due and you dont have the laptop, PM me and I can send you her contact info.

hey guys, do you know a discount for the U330 (22672AU) ???

Not to mention U330 over Macbook.....Apple should certainly consider switchable graphics in Macbooks for people who would do some light gaming in bootcamp.

I have high hopes for the U330. I wanted something a bit more sturdy that I can knock around a bit. The Lenovo factsheet cited a magnesium/aluminum alloy lid and chassis, so that explains why the weight is a touch more than the competition.
