I'm about to order a U330 but it says it takes 3-4 weeks shipping... ***? I move in college on 9/20 and I'm gonna need it earlier than that.

there's an option on the shipping thing that says "2 Business Days." What does that mean? It'll ship after the time it takes to build and 2 business days? If so, does anyone know how long it takes for it to build?

    thanks a lot

You answered your own question -- 3-4 weeks to build (at best, not even factoring supply delays). Then add on top of that your shipping time. I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but that's just reality.

In my personal experience, even Dell takes a few weeks to ship, so this is the norm.

If you need a computer now, you'll have to get one from a brick and mortar store or a preconfigured computer from Amazon, Newegg, or Costco. Otherwise, I'd just hunker down and live without a computer for awhile.

    aw ****

well the T400 looks pretty good and they say it takes 1-2 weeks. If I pick standard shipping it should most likely arrive before 9/20 right? Or should I be on the safe side and pick the 2 business day shipping?

    thanks for your help

You might have better luck with the T400. But honestly, don't rush it. You'll be stuck with this computer for 4-5 years. Don't be hasty in your decision just because you want it in your hands a few weeks early.

Don't forget the pre-configured Thinkpads either.
