I recieved a almost new u400 a few days ago, my last system had an ssd and as i discovered the inside i saw the MSATA port.

So my plan was to keep the 750 gb HDD and add a SSD with msata like this
    Mushkin.com

Does anyone installed a msata divice in the u400?? I was a bit worried about the size of the msata ssd if they will fit ..

    Greetings..

good news... the SSD and the ram upgrade run perfect...
the system boots in a few seconds i kept the 750gb hardrive. so in conclusion a good investment.

on the other side i ´ve ruined the bottom case --> there is a gap between the palmrest and the bottompart approx 1 mm i´ve some solutions in my head to fix it but not enough time to do it ....

for all nerds i think the u410 is better acessable then u400.. so go for this .. ;)
