    UPS 3 Day Select shipping question

    Hi all,

    I just ordered an Ideapad Y530 last week for the fiancee (2/5). I went with the free UPS ground shipping. It shipped out really fast, on 2/10. UPS tells me the service is "UPS 3 Day Select," which guarantees delivery by the end of the third business day. However, my laptop is scheduled to be delivered on Monday (2/16). Does UPS not work on Friday or something? The laptop is currently sitting in Mesquite, TX, which is about 40 min from my home. Does UPS ever deliver earlier than their scheduled date?

    Yes, they do deliver on Fridays. And yes, they occasionally deliver earlier than scheduled, but not often. UPS is pretty good about their estimated delivery days, unlike Fedex.

    Ha! Look at my Signature, I have the same laptop.
    I got mine a day earlier, and the City it was in was 30 minutes away... So it should come earlier.

    Oh, and just to say the computer is excellent. I will be writing a review on it soon.

    Great! I hope they deliver it tomorrow, it would make a nice early Valentine's Day gift.

    Glad to hear you like it EnergyXP! I have a T61, but the features on the IdeaPad are making me a little envious :). Looking forward to your review!

    I am going to post the review in the Lenovo section, I will post it on Saturday the 14th. It has a LOT of pictures!!! Just look back on Saturday. And just to say, it is quite a positive review.

    I hate UPS, love Fedex.
    UPS always make you feel bad. how??

    if you select the UPS ground shipping, they used to deliver after 6 to 7 business day, even the package arrived to my local UPS station after 2 business day.

    Yup, UPS just want you pay more for faster shipping, they don't like to deliver your package early.

    Unlike Fedex, even fedex ground, Fedex would like to deliver your package ASAP, when your package arrive your local fedex location

    Finally, UPS sucks! But UPS is cheaper....
